Scotland

Scotland really exceeded our expectations!  We visited there in June as an add on to our England/Wales trip and we would absolutely love to go back to see more of the lovely country! ☺
Old Town Edinburgh

Calton Hill

New Town Edinburgh
 Arthur's Seat Hiking Trails

  Loch Ness
Highlands
Pitlochry
Sterling Castle
St. Andrews
This trip was one of the best "kid behaved" trips!  It didn't hurt that we got Dylan an ice cream cone at least twice a day... it's survival, right!? ;-)  We had so much fun as a family; hiking the mountains around the Edinburgh, pretending the old ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral was our "castle" (I got to be the queen 😉 ), and getting lost in the beautiful streets of Old Town Edinburgh.  Of course, as soon as both boys fell asleep in their stroller, Matt and I would immediately stop at the nearest restaurant/cafe/bar to have a "nap date" while the boys slept.  When they woke up, we'd take them to the local grocery store and buy their meal... it's so not worth spending "restaurant money" on toddlers/babies. ;-)  I love traveling as a family because it's the one time that we get Daddy nonstop all week long; but also, my kids get to see me without the daily stresses of laundry, dishes, meal preps and house cleaning... not to mention the fact that we are seeing all of this beautiful architecture and landscapes & experiencing culture together. It's because of these EXPERIENCES (not toys, fancy electronics, etc) that helps our little family grow closer together and gives us a broader perspective and understanding of our world. <3
